    What is secure remote access?

Secure remote access is the set of technologies and practices that let employees, vendors and devices connect to corporate resources from outside the office while preserving confidentiality, integrity and full control over the connections.

    What secure remote access includes

    • Strong identity- and device-based authentication.
    • End-to-end traffic encryption.
    • Granular control: who accesses what, when and from where.
    • Visibility and logging for every connection.
    • Ability to revoke access instantly.

Traditional VPNs are no longer enough

VPNs were born when most work happened in offices and resources lived in a single data centre. Today the picture is mixed: cloud, SaaS, remote work, personal devices. VPNs expose the whole network, require open ports and grant implicit trust after login. That is why the current standard is Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA).

How to choose a secure remote access solution

    • It must not require open firewall ports.
    • It must verify identity and device, not just a password.
    • It must apply microsegmentation by default.
    • It must comply with GDPR and, for public-sector work, ENS.
    • It must deploy in minutes, with no servers of your own to maintain.
